Poppy Study

Just some pics from my study in Poppies for this season

Experimenting different way trying to express their spirit, playing a little with painting and sculpting...

I realized for the first time how 'ruffled' are poppy's petals! I think is this look - together the lightness - that makes the Poppy so cheerful... Jolly and warm Souls, just like their season! 

Note: The girl that is looking my study came from my illustration  "Flying with the Poppies".

The Hazel Fairy

I found an Hazelnut the other day! But... Was it really just an Hazelnut?

It was open and, when carefully viewed, might be something inside... 

Or someone! I got closer to see better and... a pair of bright little eyes looked me from there!

So I discovered that the Hazelnut was a Faiy's Birth Place... in all likelihood made by a Wild Mouse. 

The little one just woke up, she looked me in the eyes again and...

she asked me if I could taking her in my hand, so she could open her little wings. 

I took her, tenderly... She was sp small! She was smaller than a cent! 

She thanked me and then she flew away, to go in the new Place destined to welcome her, an Human Heart!
But my hand was full of Stars, because she gave me some of her Fairy Dust...

Walnut Elf... a little girl!

Pay careful when you open walnuts, I always say!

You could find a little Fairy Creature inside...

...who is waiting to go out playing with you!

This little one jumped up at once, smiling...

and she tried to wake up all the Little Elves sleeping in the other nuts!

Then she saw me and so asked me to play with her...

We'll go together to the park today... would you like to play with us?

Celidonia's Fairies in tv again!

Thanks to Rosita, who gave me the notice, I knew that Arturo tv (an Italian channel in 221 DTV) is showing the second series of my polymer clay lessons, that I made for "Faidate" show in 2007. I explain how to sculpt sunflowers, rabbits and simple fairies! ^_^ The programme schedule until Thursday is at this link (in italian) but lessons'll go until Friday 12.

The Cherry Blossom Little Fairy

In Rome there is a place where, in Spring, you can admire the Cherry Tree blossoming...

It's the Japan Walk, around the EUR lake. Petals not yet floating in the air, only the Elves' ribbon dances with the wind.

But between some days, delicate white clouds'll decorate the lake. It's the Sakura given by Tokyo city to Rome, in the '50 years. If you pay attention, you could see a little Fairy between the flowers: she's the Cherry Blossom Fairy.

Every Spring, the Japanese community of Rome - and always more Romans -  celebrate the Hanami here. I go here, too, to visit the Trees and the Little People of the Park: Duks, Bumblebees and... Fairies!

Last Saturday and I met there the Little Cherry Blossom Fairy and a Sleeping Baby Elf! 

Little Fairy told me that only the Young Trees are in blossom, at the moment, so she was waiting...

...that the Old Trees' buds grow up

and Sleeping Elves wake up!

In the meantime, she look at the lake and, thinking of the Beauty and the Fleeting of a Cherry Flower life, she help him to blossom.

Welcome back, Spring!

Today - at 11.02 a.m. (in Italy) - Spring come back to us! ^__^ 

Fairies are so thrilled! My Fairy friend flew fast in the Wood to say "hello" to the young Violets and to give the Notice to the Newborn Fairies!
Birds sing stronger to celebrate the Event and I, in front of such Intensity in spite of the last Winter's breath, can't help thinking about Emily Dickinson's verses:

I'm the little "Heart's Ease"!

I don't care for pouting skies!

If the Butterfly dealy

Can, I, Therefore, Stay away?
